Michael’s Restaurant is owned and operated by the third generation of the Michael family entrepreneurs, Gaye & Susie. Gaye has been working hard in the family business since he was 9 years old, and his wife, Susie, is the Office Manager handling daily reports and accounts.

      Michael’s prides itself on offering excellent service due to its well-trained and experienced wait and bar staff. Our headwaiter, Mr. Jason Burns, has been with us for 18 consecutive years, starting as a bus boy at the age of 14. Aside from Jason, we also take great joy in employing Ms. Susie Dale. Susie has worked in the food & beverage industry for many years and has been with Michael’s since 2003.

      Our experienced bar staff includes the young Kathleen Forhan and Stuart (“Stu”) Medlin. Kathleen has been with Michael’s for over fours years and is one of the favorites among returning customers. Stu plays the position of “swingman” for Michael’s and can be seen bartending, waiting tables, or Maitre D’ing every weekend.

      Our kitchen is managed under the care of head chef and owner, Gaye Michael. Gaye has enjoyed cooking almost his entire life, as he was trained in his late teens by the famous St. Louis chef, Mr. Edgar Mason. Next to Gaye in the kitchen stands long time employee Cory Kohlbrecher. Cory has many years of experience cooking and is very articulate while preparing our dishes. He has been a chef since he was 16 years old and has been working along side Gaye at Michael’s for 10 years.
